Marathon in the gym! Racea non-stop in competition

One week from European bronze medal won in the all around competition, Amelia Racea is forcing again the podium today at the Glasgow World Cup.

The European Championships in Berlin are now history for Octavian Bellu and Mariana Bitang's students. With the objectives achieved and the first stage of the preparation checked, gymnasts start already on the way to the Worlds. Bronze medalist in the final of the most complete gymnasts, the all around, Amelia Racea left behind the feelings and emotions lived in Germany to perform today in Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena in Glasgow, United Kingdom. "It's a medal that means a lot to me and gives me confidence for the future. I did not think yet what will be next year, I want to take everything step by step. The next big goal is the World Championships and until then I want to have a cleaner execution and to get rid of emotions. I hope not to get off the podium this year. ", Ama said.

CSS Cetate Deva's gymnast will compete today on all four events, starting at 20:00, in a competition in which will participate also the European vice-champion, the German Elisabeth Seitz.

Along with Amelia will participate in the competition in Glasgow also Raluca Haidu, balance beam bronze medalist at the 2010 European Championships, being the first official competition for her this year.

Euro 2011 - 7th place for Amelia on vault

FOTO: Reuters

Today in the vault final of European Championship, our representatives Amelia Racea and Sandra Izbasa had good and very good performances.

Sandra managed to surprise us in a very pleasant way and won the gold medal, followed by Oksana Chusovitina and Ariella Kaeslin while Amelia finished the competition in 7th place after a first vault executed better in qualifications and noted today with 14.000 (D 5.8) and a second vault much better but with a lower difficulty - 13.450 (4.8).

It was a good and useful contest for Amelia though she didn't have enough difficulty to be on the podium but her beautiful execution, although not very appreciated by the judges give me hope that she can do much better if she wants to!

Congratulations Ama and smile more, you're very beautiful!
